Getting photos with your favorite landmarks can be an important part of your wedding day. As your wedding photographer, I want to give you want you want, but it requires planning! So whether you want to get your photos around Northeastern Pennsylvania like the Luzerne County Courthouse or Kirby Park, you’ll want to make sure to schedule out the day to make sure you get those shots.
Plan Out Your Day
You’ll want to map out the time it will take you to travel from place to place. That means from your home to the ceremony to the photo op area and then to the reception. Remember, ceremony and reception times can’t be changed especially if you have a cocktail hour. Allow for traffic congestion at peak hours. Luckily, Saturday traffic is usually less hectic.
As your photographer, I can make the picture taking runs smoothly and efficiently!
Get Your Wedding Party to Help
Allow your maid of honor and best man to be schedule taskmasters as you and your new husband will be wanting to enjoy the day. If you allow your friends and family to help you, the process will go a lot smoother.
Have a Backup Plan
You never know what will happen when it comes to the weather. That’s why you should have a backup plan if the weather turns foul. I work in advance to scout out both outdoor and indoor photo opportunities at both the ceremony and reception areas. I always have a backup plan in case the weather turns bad!
Involve Your Family
Make sure your grandparents and extended family are available for group photos after the ceremony. Only the bridal party will need to come with you to your landmark location after the ceremony.
